The 9th Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) conserves its past achievements and looks towards the future, Prince Moulay Rachid, Chairman of the FIFM Foundation said on the occasion of the FIFM opening Friday in Marrakech.

I am sure of the excellent level of the competition, the professionalism of the jury, the in-depth work carried out for the visually-impaired people, and the faithful attendance of all those who have set a foot on the festival catwalk and who have come back again, Prince Moulay Rachid said on the festival's website.

I am sure of the success of this year Festival which will be projecting on December 6th movies on the environment to warn people about the consequences of their negative attitude.

May this year's Festival strengthen our film directors' will to express the multiple facets of our beautiful country, Morocco, the land of Islam, progress and tolerance, Prince Moulay Rachid said.
