Morocco, Tunisia Satisfied With 16th Joint Committee

Moroccan Premier Abbas El Fassi and his Tunisian peer Mohamed Ghannouchi expressed their satisfaction with the positive results of the 16th joint committee held on May 6-7 in Tunis.

El Fassi and Ghannouchi stressed their determination to work together in order to implement the agreements and clear hurdles which hamper the goals of cooperation and partnership.

El Fassi said he was convinced that this bilateral cooperation will be promoted to include the political, economic, social and diplomatic fields.

The positive outcome of this meeting will undoubtedly stimulate cooperation between the two countries and contribute to achieving the Maghreb integration, El Fassi said.

Ghannouchi noted that the meeting enabled the assessment of bilateral cooperation and the diagnosis of barriers through an objective approach to give new impetus to the cooperation between Morocco and Tunisia by 2011.

He called upon the economic actors of both countries to benefit from the legal framework in order to undertake partnership projects, and to enhance the competitiveness of businesses in both countries as well as at the bilateral, African and European levels.
