Wydad Casablanca jumped to the leadership of Morocco's soccer league thanks to its 3-1 victory on Sunday over Widad Fez.
Receiving a goal as early as the 4th minute into the first half, Wydad summoned up its energy and managed to score the equalizer 27 minutes later through striker Farid El Allagui.
Keen to grab the full three points of the game, Wydad endeavoured hard to score more. It could achieve that fifteen minutes into the second half through the midfielder Ahmed Ajeddou, before his teammate Pascal Angan secured the score with a third goal five minutes before the end.
Difaa El Jadida lost leadership following a 0-0 tie with As Salé. After a good start in the beginning of the season, Difaa, just like last seasons, seems unable to secure continuity and started sinking into a downward trajectory.
Raja Casablanca suffered a new defeat by Moghreb Fez. The coming of its former coach, José Romao, and the return of captain Abdellatif Jrindou have brought nothing new. The team can overcome the situation by recruiting good players in the winter mercato.
