Noureddine Lakhmari's feature 'Casa Negra' won, on Saturday, the Bronze Award and the Jury's Prize, in the category of feature length movies, of the 17th Damascus International Film Festival.
French director, Régis Wargnier, Chairman of the festival's jury, said Casa Negra is a "strong" movie that combines metaphors, such as the white and black, the beautiful and ugly and love and hatred.
The festival's Golden award went to the South Korean feature, Treeless Mountain.
During this artistic event, held from October 31 to November 7, over 250 feature-length and short movies representing some 50 countries were screened.
